Future Developments

Chessington World of Adventures announced in a press conference that they have a medium-term plan to refurbish existing areas of the park and add new rides. Retheming Beanoland into Wild Asia was the start of the new development and opened including the new ride Kobra for 2010.

In 2012, Chessington completely re-themed Toytown and replaced it with a new area, Africa. The park also opened the new Madagascar Live Show, a live show which includes all of the characters from the children's movie, Madagascar.

The park had been given planning permission to re-theme the Monkey & Bird Garden as Monkey Kingdom in 2012, complete with new enclosures, walkthrough attractions, jungle theming, and play areas. However, at the moment this has been put on hold in favour of other projects.

The park have applied for planning permission to create a new ride called Zufari which is a Safari Experience for 2013, where visitors ride in a safari trucks to explore a new reserve with flamingos, giraffes and rhinos. The 22 acre development site is located next to the Wanyama Village & Reserve, the main access would be from behind Rameses Revenge.

Famous quotes containing the words future and/or developments:

Real generosity towards the future lies in giving all to the present.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)

The developments in the North were those loosely embraced in the term modernization and included urbanization, industrialization, and mechanization. While those changes went forward apace, the antebellum South changed comparatively little, clinging to its rural, agricultural, labor-intensive economy and its traditional folk culture.
    C. Vann Woodward (b. 1908)
