Chelsea Tube Station

Chelsea tube station is a proposed station on the Chelsea-Hackney line (also known as "Crossrail 2", the "Chelney line" and the "Hacksea line"). Alternative names for the station are Kings Road (Chelsea), Chelsea Kings Road or simply Kings Road.

The line is currently considered the fourth major rail project in the capital after the Thameslink Programme, East London Line extension and Crossrail 1. It is not likely to open until 2022 at the earliest.

Famous quotes containing the words tube and/or station:

Even crushed against his brother in the Tube the average Englishman pretends desperately that he is alone.
    Germaine Greer (b. 1939)

I introduced her to Elena, and in that life-quickening atmosphere of a big railway station where everything is something trembling on the brink of something else, thus to be clutched and cherished, the exchange of a few words was enough to enable two totally dissimilar women to start calling each other by their pet names the very next time they met.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)
