The fair includes many things for visitors to watch, including a vintage car show, horse driving, pipe bands, highland dancing, many cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, and a display by the famous RAF Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows The fair also has several 'Have a go' things to do, including clay pigeon shooting, a .22 rifle range, laser clay pigeon shooting, archery, fly-fishing, an air rifle range and a large children's fairground containing a vintage ferris wheel, helter-skelter and chair-o-planes. The fair also features a dog show, a display of old military and commercial vehicles, and a falconry display. There is also a large 'Fine Food Village', where various large and small companies sell their products, as well as a Chatsworth Farm Shop tent, where visitors can buy Chatsworth Burgers and Hot Dogs. Aside from the food tent, there are also hundreds of other commercial stalls, where visitors can buy products, often at discounted prices.

Famous quotes containing the words country and/or fair:

Passing through here in 1795, Bishop Asbury commented, ‘The country improves in cultivation, wickedness, mills, and stills.’ Five years later, he held a meeting in the neighborhood and remarked that he thought most of the congregation had come to look at his wig.
—Administration in the State of Sout, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

The lakes are something which you are unprepared for; they lie up so high, exposed to the light, and the forest is diminished to a fine fringe on their edges, with here and there a blue mountain, like amethyst jewels set around some jewel of the first water,—so anterior, so superior, to all the changes that are to take place on their shores, even now civil and refined, and fair as they can ever be.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
