Charlotte Day - Character Information

Character Information

Charlotte first arrived in Charnham in 2002, as a love interest for local publican Pete Callan, who she had met on holiday and began working for him in The Black Swan pub. Despite Pete not being the most popular person in Charnham, Charlotte defended him against many of his enemies.

For a while, Charlotte began acting very secretive. Claire Toomey, Pete's ex-wife decided to follow her and investigate her behaviour. It turned out that Charlotte was meeting her younger half-sister, Lucy, who had run away from home and their mother Eileen's boyfriend, Johnny Palmer.

Charlotte later became involved with Johnny and subsequently left Charnham with him soon after Eileen arrived.

Famous quotes containing the words character and/or information:

The first thing to be done by a biographer in estimating character is to examine the stubs of his victim’s cheque-books.
    Silas Weir Mitchell (1829–1914)

So while it is true that children are exposed to more information and a greater variety of experiences than were children of the past, it does not follow that they automatically become more sophisticated. We always know much more than we understand, and with the torrent of information to which young people are exposed, the gap between knowing and understanding, between experience and learning, has become even greater than it was in the past.
    David Elkind (20th century)
