Chance Brothers Ltd Archives

The archives of Chance Brothers Ltd are held at Sandwell Community History and Archives Service. In June 2009, a project archivist was appointed to catalogue the collection. By June 2010, they aim to have catalogued around a third of the collection including corporate, financial, legal, employment and lighthouse records. They have also set up an online blog to record the progress made during the project.

Famous quotes containing the words chance and/or brothers:

    You know what’s wrong with you, Miss Whoever you are? You’re chicken. You’ve got no guts. You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, “Okay, life’s a fact. People do fall in love. People do belong to each other, because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.”
    George Axelrod (b. 1922)

    Come, dear children, let us away;
    Down and away below!
    Now my brothers call from the bay,
    Now the great winds shoreward blow,
    Now the salt tides seaward flow;
    Now the wild white horses play,
    Champ and chafe and toss in the spray.
    Matthew Arnold (1822–1888)
