Chaminade offers over 25 clubs for its Middle School and High School students. One of the most popular clubs is the new online webstream program called CSPN in which sporting events and other activities are livestreamed on the web. Famous quotes containing the words fine, arts and/or activities:
“Give us that grand word woman once again,
And lets have done with lady; ones a term
Full of fine force, strong, beautiful, and firm,
Fit for the noblest use of tongue or pen;
And ones a word for lackeys.”
—Ella Wheeler Wilcox (18551919)
“A man must be clothed with society, or we shall feel a certain bareness and poverty, as of a displaced and unfurnished member. He is to be dressed in arts and institutions, as well as in body garments. Now and then a man exquisitely made can live alone, and must; but coop up most men and you undo them.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Both at-home and working mothers can overmeet their mothering responsibilities. In order to justify their jobs, working mothers can overnurture, overconnect with, and overschedule their children into activities and classes. Similarly, some at-home mothers,... can make at- home mothering into a bigger deal than it is, over stimulating, overeducating, and overwhelming their children with purposeful attention.”
—Jean Marzollo (20th century)
