History As KFAN Radio Host
Hartman's previous job was at KFAN, headquartered in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. His show aired every weekday from 2-4:00 PM. Frequent contributors to Chad's show included Mark Rosen, Paul Charchian, Bob McNaney, Belinda Jensen, Cities 97's Brian Oake, KTLK-FM's Brian Lambert, Paul Molitor, Terry Ryan, fictional neighbor Saul Lefkowitz, and his show's producer Darren (Doogie) Wolfson.
Hartman interviewed so many guests on his show, he earned the nickname "The Barbara Walters of the Fan."
Hartman was terminated by KFAN management along Wolfson in January 2009. He was the longest-tenured remaining member of KFANs predecessor - WDGY.
Hartman was the primary radio voice for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 1997 to 2006.

Famous quotes containing the words history, radio and/or host:
“Three million of such stones would be needed before the work was done. Three million stones of an average weight of 5,000 pounds, every stone cut precisely to fit into its destined place in the great pyramid. From the quarries they pulled the stones across the desert to the banks of the Nile. Never in the history of the world had so great a task been performed. Their faith gave them strength, and their joy gave them song.”
—William Faulkner (18971962)
“The radio ... goes on early in the morning and is listened to at all hours of the day, until nine, ten and often eleven oclock in the evening. This is certainly a sign that the grown-ups have infinite patience, but it also means that the power of absorption of their brains is pretty limited, with exceptions, of courseI dont want to hurt anyones feelings. One or two news bulletins would be ample per day! But the old geese, wellIve said my piece!”
—Anne Frank (19291945)
“When the guests have left, the host is at peace.”
—Chinese proverb.
