Famous quotes containing the words center, women and/or mathematics:

    It is written in the Book of Usable Minutes
    That all things have their center in their dying....
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

    I had very good dentures once. Some magnificent gold work. It’s the only form of jewelry a man can wear that women fully appreciate.
    Graham Greene (1904–1991)

    In mathematics he was greater
    Than Tycho Brahe, or Erra Pater:
    For he, by geometric scale,
    Could take the size of pots of ale;
    Resolve, by sines and tangents straight,
    If bread and butter wanted weight;
    And wisely tell what hour o’ th’ day
    The clock doth strike, by algebra.
    Samuel Butler (1612–1680)
