Cello scrotum is a hoax medical condition originally published as a brief case report in the British Medical Journal in 1974. As its name suggests, it was purportedly an affliction of the scrotum affecting male players of the cello.
Famous quotes containing the words cello and/or scrotum:
“one is in a shoe factory cursing the machine,
one is at the aquarium tending a seal,
one is dull at the wheel of her Ford,
one is at the toll gate collecting,
one is tying the cord of a calf in Arizona,
one is straddling a cello in Russia....”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“Kais little scrotum up close to his groin,
the seed still tucked away, that moved from us to him”
—Gary Snyder (b. 1930)
