Projects Beyond Amen

Chaos has worked with artists such as Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop, The Damned, Queens of the Stone Age, Rikk Agnew, Sex Pistols, Rozz Williams, Christian Death, Misfits, Satyricon, Ministry, Paul Raven, TV Smith, Scars on Broadway, Vanilla Ice, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Sunshine Czech republic, The Kinison, Torqamada, This is Menace, The Genitorturers, Narcolepsy, GrindhallerXXX, Disorderly Conduct, and many others. He has recorded side projects with: Faust (drums - Emperor/Blood Tsunami), Samoth (guitar - Emperor/Zyklon), Happy Tom and Euroboy (bass and guitar - Turbonegro) called Scum; Josh Homme (QOTSA), Nick Oliveri (QOTSA/Mondo Generator) and Jeordie White (Marilyn Manson/A Perfect Circle/Nine Inch Nails/Goon Moon) called Headband; Daron Malakian (System of a Down) and Zach Hill called Scars On Broadway.

According to Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, he and Chaos were to write and perform with Iggy Pop on the album that later became "Beat 'Em Up", until the latter decided to actually do the album with his usual backing band only a few days before the recording was to take place with producer Ross Robinson.

Chaos started the band Scars on Broadway with Daron Malakian. Which won him a Grammy for co-writing "B.Y.O.B." with Daron Malakian that can be heard on System of a Down's album Mezmerize. A version of the song with Chaos on vocals can be heard on the leaked Scars on Broadway Ghetto Blaster Rehearsals from 2003. However, in 2010 a court dismissed his charge.

Chaos performed with former members of The Damned; Rat Scabies and Brian James, celebrating 30-year anniversary of the release of The Damned's debut album "Damned Damned Damned", by performing the LP in its entirety at The 100 Club in London in 2006. This caused some controversy among the Damned's fanbase, because the line-up with Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible were still an active musical outfit. Chaos provides vocals for black metal supergroup Scum as well as backing vocals on the Vanilla Ice album Hard to Swallow. He is also featured on the Rise Above: 24 Black Flag Songs to Benefit the West Memphis Three album on the track "Depression", and has spoken out publicly in support of the cause.

In 2006, Chaos started the Amen "Angry Brigade", an online database/fan club where - after making payment - customers have access to the newest music, rare MP3s, news, instrumentals, videos etc.

Famous quotes containing the words projects and/or amen:

But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.
    Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)

Heaven has a Sea of Glass on which angels go sliding every afternoon. There are many golden streets, but the principal thoroughfares are Amen Street and Hallelujah Avenue, which intersect in front of the Throne. These streets play tunes when walked on, and all shoes have songs in them.
