The Carruthers Shield is an award of Welsh Bowling Association (WBA) awarded to the winning team of the Welsh Bowling Associations' Club Championship in Wales. The tournament has been running since 1919 and involves a preliminary round where over 250 teams from all the Welsh counties compete within 64 groups. Successful teams then go through to the main knockout stages of the championship. The Carruthers Shield is a highly acclaimed trophy among the WBA and the holders of the shield are considered amongst the best teams in Wales that year.
