Facilities
Carrum is located at the down end of the Beach Street level crossing, and between the Nepean Highway and Station Street, with station access from both the latter.
The station consists of two side platforms; Platform 1 has a large brick building housing an enclosed waiting room, ticket facilities and toilets, while platform 2 has a semi-large brick building. myki ticket vending machines are available at the station, replacing the former Metcard machines, which were removed in 2012.
A signal box is located on the western (city bound) platform, which controls a crossover to allow trains to terminate here. Approximately 100m from the end of the platform there is a rail yard that can hold a number of trains.
