Carrie married Tom Prideaux, a Major with the Queen's Royal Lancers, on 3 May 2008. Tom Prideaux was often the butt of jokes on the The Chris Moyles Show, and referred to by Moyles and Comedy Dave as "Captain Underpants" and fittingly, "Major Tom".
On 29 October 2009, she announced live on The Chris Moyles Show that she was pregnant and due to give birth to a baby girl in March. On 25 November 2009, Carrie mentioned on Twitter that she had ripped her skinny jeans trying to get out of the car. Moyles then posted a picture of the rip (just below her bottom) on Twitter, which was viewed 70,000 times in 8 hours making it one of the most viewed images on the site.
Prideaux is a patron for the Veteran Horse Welfare charity, a charity dedicated to the welfare of older horses and ponies. She is a Chelsea F.C. supporter.
Carrie's final show was on 12 February 2010 when she left the station to go on maternity leave. On 29 March 2010 it was reported live on the Chris Moyles show that Carrie had given birth to a baby girl named Poppy. Poppy was born at 15:47 on 28 March 2010 weighing 6 lb 10oz. She announced in March 2012 that she and her husband were expecting their second child.
