Caroline Distribution, founded in 1983 as a unit of EMI, has become one of the U.S. music industry’s largest third party distribution companies for the independent music sector.
Caroline became part of EMI when EMI acquired Virgin in the early ‘90s. Caroline distributes 90 labels including Century Media, Arts & Crafts, Mute, Hopeless, Season of Mist and Stones Throw, among others. The company is currently part of the Capitol Music Group.
