Canadian Institute of Management - Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.)

Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.)

The Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation recognizes senior-level management training and academic competency and is most suitable for holders of research-oriented MBA, MMSc, MComm, DBA or PhD degrees in Business Administration or Management, or for those that have completed undergraduate degrees, diplomas or certificates, supplemented with additional requirements. Academic preparation must be supported by senior managerial experience, letters of support, letters of reference, and a statement of interest. An examination may be required.

Chartered Manager is the Canadian Institute of Management’s senior management qualification and chartered professional designation. It is abbreviated as C.Mgr. and used as a post-nominal to accredited members in good standing. It provides validation to outstanding adherence to the theory and practice of ethical management and the ongoing development of new methods in the management arts and sciences that focus on sustainability and leadership. It goes beyond academic qualification and provides clients with a benchmark of professionalism and ethical behaviour in business.

Famous quotes containing the words chartered and/or manager:

The chartered recountants take the thing to pieces and put it together again. They enjoy it. The artist takes it to pieces and makes a new thing, new things. He must.
    Samuel Beckett (1906–1989)

Nothing could his enemies do but it rebounded to his infinite advantage,—that is, to the advantage of his cause.... No theatrical manager could have arranged things so wisely to give effect to his behavior and words. And who, think you, was the manager? Who placed the slave-woman and her child, whom he stooped to kiss for a symbol, between his prison and the gallows?
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
