Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre

Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC), located on the north bank of the St. Marys River in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, is dedicated to preserving the history of bush flying and forest protection in Canada. It was founded in 1987 by a group of local volunteers to preserve the province's history in bush planes and aerial firefighting.

The CBHC prides itself on being a completely interactive and hands-on museum, with fun activities for every member of the family. The 25,000-square-foot (2,300 m2) hangar contains over thirty aircraft exhibits. Climb a real fire tower, see the Algoma region from above in the flight simulator, or experience flight in the special effects-packed Object Theatre.

Famous quotes containing the words canadian, heritage and/or centre:

We’re definite in Nova Scotia—’bout things like ships ... and fish, the best in the world.
John Rhodes Sturdy, Canadian screenwriter. Richard Rossen. Joyce Cartwright (Ella Raines)

There are some things which cannot be learned quickly, and time, which is all we have, must be paid heavily for their acquiring. They are the very simplest things and because it takes a man’s life to know them the little new that each man gets from life is very costly and the only heritage he has to leave.
    Ernest Hemingway (1899–1961)

Being at the centre of a film is a burden one takes on with innocence—the first time. Thereafter, you take it on with trepidation.
    Daniel Day Lewis (b. 1957)
