Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game

Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game (formerly the Call of Cthulhu Collectible Card Game) is produced and marketed by Fantasy Flight Games. It is based on the fiction of the Cthulhu Mythos, primarily the writings of H. P. Lovecraft and Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu role-playing game. The Call of Cthulhu CCG was the successor to an earlier CCG, Chaosium's Mythos, also based on the Cthulhu Mythos. In 2008, Fantasy Flight moved the game over to its Living Card Game (LCG) format, which retains the deck-building aspect of collectible card games, but without the random distribution.

It shares art and characters with FFG's other Cthulhu Mythos product Arkham Horror.

Famous quotes containing the words call, card and/or game:

I cannot call Riches better than the baggage of virtue. The Roman word is better, impedimenta. For as the baggage is to an army, so is riches to virtue. It cannot be spared nor left behind, but it hindereth the march; yea and the care of it sometimes loseth or disturbeth the victory.
    Francis Bacon (1561–1626)

I must save this government if possible. What I cannot do, of course I will not do; but it may as well be understood, once for all, that I shall not surrender this game leaving any available card unplayed.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

It is usual for a Man who loves Country Sports to preserve the Game in his own Grounds, and divert himself upon those that belong to his Neighbour.
    Joseph Addison (1672–1719)
