Appearance
The Californian rabbit has big ears (not nearly as large as Flemish Giant) but is moderate in size, weighing around 7 to 12 pounds (3.5 to 4.75 kilograms). The original coloration of this breed was very similar to the Himalayan rabbit, with a predominantly white body and a dark brown (nearly black) on the feet, nose, ears and tail. They have pink eyes.

Famous quotes containing the word appearance:
“The whole appearance is a toy. For this,
The dove in the belly builds his nest and coos,
Selah, tempestuous bird. How is it that
The rivers shine and hold their mirrors up,
Like excellence collecting excellence?”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
“Men of all professions affect such an air and appearance as to seem to be what they wish to be believed to beso that one might say the whole world is made up of nothing but appearances.”
—François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (16131680)
“Every natural fact is a symbol of some spiritual fact. Every appearance in nature corresponds to some state of the mind, and that state of the mind can only be described by presenting that natural appearance as its picture.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
