Pharmacology
Salmon calcitonin is used for the treatment of:
- Postmenopausal osteoporosis
- Hypercalcaemia
- Paget's disease
- Bone metastases
- Phantom limb pain
It has been investigated as a possible non-operative treatment for spinal stenosis.
