Cache FS - Sun Version

Sun Version

The first CacheFS implementation was developed by Sun Microsystems and released in the Solaris 2.3 operating system release in 1993, as part of an expanded feature set for the NFS or Network File System suite known as Open Network Computing Plus (ONC+). It was subsequently used in other UNIX operating systems such as Irix (starting with the 5.3 release in 1994).

Famous quotes containing the words sun and/or version:

    As the shade went up
And the ambulance came crashing through the dust
Of the new day, the moon and the sun and the stars,
    And the iceberg slowly sank
In the volcano and the sea ran far away
Yellow over the hot sand, green as the green trees.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

Truth cannot be defined or tested by agreement with ‘the world’; for not only do truths differ for different worlds but the nature of agreement between a world apart from it is notoriously nebulous. Rather—speaking loosely and without trying to answer either Pilate’s question or Tarski’s—a version is to be taken to be true when it offends no unyielding beliefs and none of its own precepts.
    Nelson Goodman (b. 1906)
