Bye Bye Baby (Madonna Song) - Live Performances

Live Performances

Madonna first performed the song at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards and then at The Girlie Show World Tour in support of Erotica. Both performances consisted in cabaret-style gender-bending, as Madonna, Niki and Donna appeared on stage in black suits and top hats. Carrie Ann Inaba appears as one of the buzzed-head, corseted dancers. Since no music video was filmed to promote the single, the live performances were used instead.

Famous quotes containing the words live and/or performances:

It took six weeks of debate in the Senate to get the Arms Embargo Law repealed—and we face other delays during the present session because most of the Members of the Congress are thinking in terms of next Autumn’s election. However, that is one of the prices that we who live in democracies have to pay. It is, however, worth paying, if all of us can avoid the type of government under which the unfortunate population of Germany and Russia must exist.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)

At one of the later performances you asked why they called it a “miracle,”
Since nothing ever happened. That, of course, was the miracle
But you wanted to know why so much action took on so much life
And still managed to remain itself, aloof, smiling and courteous.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
