Burke Mountain (Vermont) - Other Mountain Activities

Other Mountain Activities

Burke Mountain has a paved road. A parking lot is co-located with the top of the mountain's ski lift.

There are two hiking trails from this point to the summit. The first proceeds pm a narrow, zig-zag trail with several lookout points for views of the surrounding areas. The second leads to a continuation of the paved road that is blocked off to public vehicle traffic. Both paths meet at the mountain's summit which contains a tower scalable by the use of a metal staircase.

Justice begins with the recognition of the necessity of sharing. The oldest law is that which regulates it, and this is still the most important law today and, as such, has remained the basic concern of all movements which have at heart the community of human activities and of human existence in general.
    Elias Canetti (b. 1905)
