Iron Bridge

The world's first ever Iron Bridge was cast by local ironmaster Abraham Darby III and erected over the River Seven in 1779. Iron bridge is one of Britain's most famous industrial heritage sites and is well worth a visit. The bridge is curved as it symbolises the dawning of the industrial revolution and it has been restored by English national heritage.
