Theatre
The Theater Department at Brownwood High School is headed by Larry "Sir" Mathis. He has been at the school for over twenty years taking one break to work elsewhere. He has expanded the department into what it is today. The Theatre Department also includes almost every kind of student; cheerleaders, band members, choir members, and athletes. Larry Mathis has produced several award-winning plays. Amongst the biggest productions include Peter Pan, Ash Girl, and The Mill on the Floss. Donnetta Shelton is Larry Mathis's assistant as well as former student.
