Subdivisions
The broad ligament may be divided into three subcomponents:
- Mesometrium - the mesentery of the uterus; the largest portion of the broad ligament
- Mesosalpinx - the mesentery of the Fallopian tube
- Mesovarium - the mesentery of the ovaries.
