Brisbane Premier League
The Brisbane Premier League (BPL) (known as the Veto League in 2012) is the first tier of senior football (soccer) in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, administered by Football Brisbane (FB). Fourteen teams play out a twenty-six match regular season with the top six teams qualifying for the finals series and the bottom two teams being relegated to Division 1.
In 2013, however, a major restructuring of the Brisbane football pyramid will take place with promotion and relegation to and from Division One not being in place. Clubs which best meet a set list of criteris will be elected to the new league by an independent panel with the announcement expected to come in late September.
