Brian and Michael - Recent Times

Recent Times

In an article in The Guardian newspaper, Parrott said "we started performing together again in 2002, and are incredibly moved by the reception we get. We did a reunion concert at Manchester's Lowry Centre with the original St Winifreds girls, who are now in their 30s".

In February 2012, Brian & Michael (aka Kevin Parrott & Mick Coleman) decided to form a new band and recruit their respective brothers. They have been joined by drummer Nigel Parrott, and Tim Coleman as additional vocalist. Keyboard player Paula Stephens completes the new line up. The band is called 'The Matchstalk Men'. Mick Coleman has returned to his bass playing roots, Parrott to his rock guitar style, and the band are performing songs from the two Brian & Michael albums, plus "many of the favourites we grew up with during our 1950s & 1960s formative years".

Famous quotes containing the word times:

It ought to be illegal for an artist to marry.... If the artist must marry let him find someone more interested in art, or his art, or the artist part of him, than in him. After which let them take tea together three times a week.
    Ezra Pound (1885–1972)

When great nations fear to expand, shrink from expansion, it is because their greatness is coming to an end. Are we, still in the prime of our lusty youth, still at the beginning of our glorious manhood, to sit down among the outworn people, to take our place with the weak and the craven? A thousand times no!
    Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919)
