Brent Scott

Brent Steven Scott (born June 15, 1971 in Jackson, Michigan) is a retired American professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA. He played college basketball at Rice University. Scott is a 6'10", 250 lb (110 kg). center. Scott is currently an assistant coach at Texas Christian University.

Scott played 16 games with the Indiana Pacers during the 1996–97 NBA season, averaging 1.2 points and 0.6 rebounds per game. He has also played professionally in Poland (Anwil Wloclawek), Spain, Italy (for Olitalia Forli (1995–1996), Viola Reggio Calabria (1998–1999, 2000–2001) and Snaidero Udine (2001–2002)) and Greece (Gymnastikos S. Larissas (1994–1995), PAOK (2002–03) and AEK Athens (2006–2007)). In 1999, he teamed with Manu Ginóbili, Brian Oliver and Sydney Johnson to win a championship.

On June 25, 2007, Rice University announced that Scott would be an assistant basketball coach. He has since served in the same capacity at Louisiana State University and TCU, both under head coach Trent Johnson.
