Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C.

Bradford (Park Avenue) Association Football Club, previously also known as Bradford and since its reformation in the 1970s now referred to as Bradford Park Avenue, is an English football club based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The club's name comes from its old stadium at Horton Park Avenue in Bradford, which was designed by Archibald Leitch, to avoid confusion with Bradford City.

The present club claims descent from the organisation of the same name that was a former member of the Football League and which went into liquidation in 1974. The new entity, established in 1988, will be in the Conference North for the 2012–13 season, and plays its home matches at the Horsfall Athletics Stadium (capacity 3,500).

Famous quotes containing the words bradford, park and/or avenue:

I feel all dead inside. I’m backed up in a dark corner and I don’t know who’s hitting me!
Jay Dratler, U.S. screenwriter, Bernard Schoenfeld, and Henry Hathaway. Bradford Galt (Mark Stevens)

The label of liberalism is hardly a sentence to public igominy: otherwise Bruce Springsteen would still be rehabilitating used Cadillacs in Asbury Park and Jane Fonda, for all we know, would be just another overweight housewife.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)

I hate to do what everybody else is doing. Why, only last week, on Fifth Avenue and some cross streets, I noticed that every feminine citizen of these United States wore an artificial posy on her coat or gown. I came home and ripped off every one of the really lovely refrigerator blossoms that were sewn on my own bodices.
    Carolyn Wells (1862–1942)
