Boston Red Sox Team Records

This is a list of records set by the Boston Red Sox of the Major League Baseball’s American League Eastern Division. Most of the career records refer to marks set entirely while a player with the Red Sox. However, the career totals attributed to Tim Wakefield include his two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Famous quotes containing the words boston, red, team and/or records:

Our inventions are wont to be pretty toys, which distract our attention from serious things. They are but improved means to an unimproved end, an end which it was already but too easy to arrive at; as railroads lead to Boston or New York.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    I know a little garden-close
Set thick with lily and red rose,
Where I would wander if I might
From dewy dawn to dewy night,
    William Morris (1834–1896)

Once a word is spoken, a team of four horse cannot retake it.
    Chinese proverb.

The camera relieves us of the burden of memory. It surveys us like God, and it surveys for us. Yet no other god has been so cynical, for the camera records in order to forget.
    John Berger (b. 1926)
