Boppard Central Station - Planning

Planning

The platforms at Boppard station are accessible only by stairs, so the station is not accessible by the disabled. Rhineland-Palatinate has decided make all the stations of the state accessible. For Boppard central station, this means that lifts will be installed and platforms will be raised from 38 or 55 to 76 cm above the top of the rails. Funds were provided in the 2011 budget to the town of Boppard for this work. In addition, Säuerlingstraße which runs west of the station will be remodelled and relocated, which requires that the entrance to the station be rebuilt.

Famous quotes containing the word planning:

My consciousness-raising group is still going on. Every Monday night it meets, somewhere in Greenwich Village, and it drinks a lot of red wine and eats a lot of cheese. A friend of mine who is in it tells me that at the last meeting, each of the women took her turn to explain, in considerable detail, what she was planning to stuff her Thanksgiving turkey with. I no longer go to the group.
    Nora Ephron (b. 1941)

Most literature on the culture of adolescence focuses on peer pressure as a negative force. Warnings about the “wrong crowd” read like tornado alerts in parent manuals. . . . It is a relative term that means different things in different places. In Fort Wayne, for example, the wrong crowd meant hanging out with liberal Democrats. In Connecticut, it meant kids who weren’t planning to get a Ph.D. from Yale.
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)

Judge Bedford: Planning on having children?
    David: Naturally.
Judge Bedford: Good, then I know what to get you for a wedding present.
    David: Yeah? What’s that?
    Judge Bedford: A vasectomy.
    Dale Launer (b. 1953)
