The Chopra-Johar Family

Considered to be the most powerful family of the Hindi Film Industry, they have produced some of the country's biggest blockbusters and have worked in close quarters with all the leading superstars of the industry. The Chopra's form a gnroup of four siblings, born to Vilayati Raj Chopra, all of whom work independently through different leading film production houses. The eldest brother, Baldev Raj Chopra, found his B.R.Films in the year 1947, which is now managed and run by his son Ravi Chopra, who is also a director and a producer. Baldev Raj Chopra was assisted by his youngest brother, Yash Chopra for a long time with B.R.Films, during which he directed and produced several hits for the company, however eventually branching out to form his own, Yash Raj Films, along with son Aditya Chopra. The second brother Vinod Chopra, found his Vinod Chopra Productions along with his son Vidhu Vinod Chopra and never worked with B.R.Films or Yash Raj Films. The youngest sibling Hiroo Chopra married veteran film maker Yash Johar and together founded Dharma Productions which is now run by their son Karan Johar.
