Blue Harvest

Blue Harvest was a fake working title used to hide the 1982 production of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, the third installment of the Star Wars film series. The supposed film was alleged to be an upcoming horror film with the tag line Horror Beyond Imagination.

The title is a parody of Red Harvest, a novel by Dashiell Hammett, whose plot has been used for several movies including Yojimbo, A Fistful of Dollars and Last Man Standing.

Famous quotes containing the words blue and/or harvest:

    Dear Friend,
    the canebrakes
    nestled in the riverbank’s lap,
    their clusters broken
from the weight of blue bees,
    have in time
    become stumps.
    Hla Stavhana (c. 50 A.D.)

They may bring their fattest cattle and richest fruits to the fair, but they are all eclipsed by the show of men. These are stirring autumn days, when men sweep by in crowds, amid the rustle of leaves like migrating finches; this is the true harvest of the year, when the air is but the breath of men, and the rustling of leaves is as the trampling of the crowd.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
