The Bloomington Edge is a professional indoor football team which is a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Bloomington, Illinois, the Edge plays its home games at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Before joining the CPIFL, the franchise started as the Bloomington Extreme, playing three seasons in United Indoor Football from 2006 until 2008, when the UIF merged with the Intense Football League to form the Indoor Football League, in which they played from 2009 until 2012, the season in which they adopted their current name.
