The current incumbent is the Right Reverend Alan Abernethy, Bishop of the Church of Ireland Diocese of Connor, who was consecrated on 29 June 2007 at St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast and enthroned there on 6 September 2007. The bishop's official residence is the Bishop's House, 113 Upper Road, Greenisland, Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
