Early Life
Born in India, Johal migrated to British Columbia, at a young age. Johal rationalized his actions by claiming he was subject to discrimination and racism from his peers.
Johal's anger issues escalated after his elocation to Richmond, BC. In 1989 Johal failed to graduate from Matthew McNair Secondary School after he assaulted his vice-principal. Bindy's excuse for this assault was that he was being treated unfairly by the majority, experiencing discrimination and racism. In 1997, Johal was charged with aggravated assault for beating two men in a bar with a broken beer bottle. Upon receiving a 16-month prison sentence for the crime, Johal was deemed a "menace to society" by a local newspaper.

—Gerald Early (b. 1952)
“There must be a world revolution which puts an end to all materialistic conditions hindering woman from performing her natural role in life and driving her to carry out mans duties in order to be equal in rights.”
