Personal Life
Beutel was married four times, first to Gail Wilder for twenty years. His second wife was Guiding Light soap actress Lynn Deerfield, in 1975, followed by a brief four-month marriage to his third wife in 1977. In 1980, Beutel married his fourth and last wife, Adair Atwell, a former lobbyist for the tobacco industry. His first marriage produced four children; he had no other children.
