In 2011 Bernard Brogan finally picked up a much coveted All-Ireland medal with Dublin with a victory over historical rivals Kerry. This was Dublin's first All-Ireland in sixteen years beating Kerry in the final with Brogan scoring six points. Bernard later revealed that his celebrations were cut short as he had to do a drug test immediately after the game. He passed with flying colours and resumed the celebrations.
