Famous quotes containing the words beechen, cliff and/or school:

    When beechen buds begin to swell,
    And woods the blue-bird’s warble know,
    The yellow violet’s modest bell
    Peeps from the last year’s leaves below.
    William Cullen Bryant (1794–1878)

    It looked as if
    The shore was lucky in being backed by cliff,
    The cliff in being backed by continent;
    It looked as if a night of dark intent
    Was coming, and not only a night, an age.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

    It will be a great day when our schools get all the money they need and the Air Force has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber.
