Sports
Bayou Academy participates in the MAIS for their sports programs. Bayou Academy has won one football Class AA state championship in 1992, two Class A baseball state championship in 2006 and 2007, and runner up in football in 1991, 1996,and 2007. The high school softball team won 5 consecutive state championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. The sports team's rival are North Sunflower Rebels located in Ruleville, Mississippi and Strider Academy. The school's colors are royal blue, white, and black and its mascot is a colt.
