Baltic Assembly

The Baltic Assembly (“BA”) (Estonian: Balti Assamblee, Latvian: Baltijas Asambleja, Lithuanian: Baltijos Asambleja) is an international organisation which aims to promote co-operation between the parliaments of the Republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. It attempts to find a common position in relation to many international issues, including economic, political and cultural issues. The Baltic Assembly’s decisions do not bind the member governments but are only advisory.

Famous quotes containing the word assembly:

A man may be a heretic in the truth; and if he believe things only because his pastor says so, or the assembly so determines, without knowing other reason, though his belief be true, yet the very truth he holds becomes his heresy.
    John Milton (1608–1674)
