Ballinascreen GAC - Dean McGlinchey Park

Dean McGlinchey Park

The club's home ground is Dean McGlinchey Park. It has also hosted Derry inter-county games since the 1950s. Since the 1990s Celtic Park in Derry City has become officially recognised as Derry's main county ground, but Dean McGlinchey Park has still hosted a number of National League and Dr. McKenna Cup games in recent years. Along with Glen it is regraded as one of two secondary stadia.

Famous quotes containing the words dean and/or park:

Psychobabble is ... a set of repetitive verbal formalities that kills off the very spontaneity, candor, and understanding it pretends to promote. It’s an idiom that reduces psychological insight to a collection of standardized observations, that provides a frozen lexicon to deal with an infinite variety of problems.
    —Richard Dean Rosen (b. 1949)

Mrs. Mirvan says we are not to walk in [St. James’s] Park again next Sunday ... because there is better company in Kensington Gardens; but really, if you had seen how every body was dressed, you would not think that possible.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)
