Baghpat has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 82% of the males and 58% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Gurjars holds Bagpat they have good population in Bagpat and Khekada tehsils, and Jats holds Baraut and Jats have good population in Baraut and Chaproli towns .jats are 2.5 lacs and gujjar aroud 2 lacs in baghpat
