"Baba Yetu" was used in the opening ceremonies of the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and as a featured segment in the choreographed Dubai Fountain. It has won two Game Audio Network Guild awards for video game music and a Grammy Award.
Its nomination and win at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards made history as the first video game piece to receive a Grammy recognition or award, winning the "Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s)".
