Legislative Segments
As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in West Bengal:
- The municipal corporation area of Asansol is covered by two assembly constituencies of West Bengal. The wards numbered 1–8, 10–17, 19, 21–33 will form the Asansol Uttar assembly constituency.
- The wards numbered 9, 18, 20 and 34–50 will be part of the Asansol Dakshin assembly constituency, which will also contain the gram panchayats of Amrasota, Egra, Ballavpur, Jemari and Tirat under the Raniganj block.
- The other gram panchayat under the Raniganj block along with the municipal area of Jamuria and the Jamuria block will form the domain of the Jamuria assembly constituency.
- The municipal area of Raniganj will be covered by the Raniganj assembly constituency.
- The Kulti municipal area will form the Kulti assembly constituency.
- The area under the Barabani block and the Salanpur block will together form the area under the Barabani assembly constituency.
- All the six constituencies will be assembly segments of the Asansol (Lok Sabha constituency).
