Armand Hug

Armand Hug (December 6, 1910, New Orleans - March 19, 1977, New Orleans) was an American jazz pianist.

Hug was based out of New Orleans for most of his life, having begun playing professionally at age 13. He played with Harry Shields in 1926, with the New Orleans Owls in 1928, and with Sharkey Bonano (with whom he made his first recordings) in 1936. Hug was best known as a solo pianist, playing in local New Orleans clubs for decades and appearing locally on television.
