Professor Eugene Subbotsky cited the DIMPAC report in a July 2006 conference in Melbourne, Australia, stating: "controversial religious cults, manipulative psychotherapies and outbursts of religious fanaticism are on the increase". Doctoral and post-doctoral students at Brigham Young University's David O. McKay School of Education use the DIMPAC report as a reference text in psychology.
