Anterior Branch of The Obturator Artery

The anterior branch of the obturator artery runs forward on the outer surface of the obturator membrane and then curves downward along the anterior margin of the foramen.

It distributes branches to the obturator externus, pectineus, adductores, and gracilis, and anastomoses with the posterior branch and with the medial femoral circumflex artery.

Famous quotes containing the words anterior and/or branch:

I find it more credible, since it is anterior information, that one man should know heaven, as the Chinese say, than that so many men should know the world.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

In communist society, where nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes, society regulates the general production and thus makes it possible for me to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticize after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, shepherd or critic.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)
