Recent Developments
- The long-cherished dream of having a railway line from Peddapalli to Nizamabad via Karimnagar, Jagityal, Armoor a distance of 177.6 km, for which foundation stone was laid in 1993 by then Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, is all set for the completion during the financial year 2012/13. A length of 150 km is completed and the work from Armoor to Nizamabad (25 km) is under progress.
- This line passes through Ankapur village. The work is under progress(Armoor-Nizamabad). If this line is completed, Ankapur will be connected with India's rail network with a station at Armoor.
