Andrew Hill Newman - Writing Career

Writing Career

Since 1998, Newman has worked as a writer for several series created by actor-turned-television producer Dan Schneider, especially those produced for Nickelodeon. Newman began working with Schneider as a writer for the short-lived UPN sitcom Guys Like Us, and subsequently afterward was a staff writer for the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series The Amanda Show; in addition, he played a number of characters on The Amanda Show.

Newman also served as producer for both The Amanda Show and All That. Currently, Newman is part of the core writing crew of iCarly; he has also guest starred in an episode of iCarly as Carly, Freddie and Sam's teacher Mr. Henning in the episode "iGo Nuclear" and served as the voice of George the Bra (an anthropomorphic character that tells scary stories, that is a character in Carly's web show) in four episodes of the series.
